THE ARREST: JESUS BEFORE THE HIGH PRIEST AND JUDAS
Broens. c.1525-35. (M-K 05-068.) Agony in garden. Bottom row on north wall. Easter week from the Agony in the Garden to Crucifixion. All framed, resembling Biblia Pauperum. Agony in the garden, right, angel, in cloud. Christ, with cross nimbus, kneels in prayer, hands shoulder high, palms facing. Right, three disciples sleep. Arrest of Christ. Left, Christ is seized by soldiers as He is embraced and kissed by Judas. In background, large group of soldiers, armed with spears, battle hammers and halberds.
